Robert M. Tuchman
Robert is a founding partner of Tuchman Gambier LLP.
Robert’s practice centers on commercial litigation and arbitration. He has successfully represented a broad array of clients in complex commercial disputes, including at trial. He prides himself on being a generalist and, in recent years, has handled matters involving complex financial transactions, fiduciary relationships, contracts, mergers and acquisitions, real estate development, chemical manufacturing, liability arising from the opioid epidemic, and, on a pro bono basis, death-penalty advocacy. Robert strives to provide his clients with the highest level of service and creative, efficient, and spirited representation.
Robert holds a bachelor’s degree from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and a J.D. from New York University School of Law. He is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. He has also practiced, on a pro hac vice basis, in the Delaware Court of Chancery and other jurisdictions. Before founding Tuchman Gambier, Robert practiced as a litigation associate at Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, and as counsel at the boutique firm Kleinberg, Kaplan, Wolff & Cohen, P.C.
Robert serves on the board of New York Squash and is a member of his local community board.
Lauren Gambier
Lauren is a founding partner of Tuchman Gambier LLP.
Lauren is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience representing clients in their most complex, high-stakes, and sensitive matters, with a practice spanning complex commercial litigation, internal investigations, and enforcement actions.
Lauren has guided clients through highly sensitive internal investigations and government inquiries across a range of issues, including insider trading, accounting violations, data breaches, workplace misconduct, foreign bribery and corruption, money laundering, and trade sanctions violations. She has defended global financial institutions, multinational aerospace, technology, telecommunications, and commodities companies, global consulting firms, and individuals in connection with investigations and enforcement actions by state and federal criminal authorities, banking regulators, SEC, OFAC, FCC, and FINRA.
Lauren similarly has deep experience litigating complex, high-stakes commercial disputes, often with existential levels of financial and reputational exposure. She has achieved favorable resolutions for clients in the financial services, commercial real estate, technology, telecommunications, and pharmaceuticals sectors in a wide array of matters, including corporate governance, shareholder, securities, structured finance, insurance, and contract disputes.
Lauren’s practice is also shaped by having spent several years as in-house counsel at a major national financial institution, where she led enterprise-wide, high-risk investigations, litigation, and regulatory enforcement matters from the inside. That perspective gives her firsthand insight into the internal pressures, practical constraints, and business realities her clients face, and honed her ability to provide practical, commercially-minded advice tailored to the outcome each client is working to achieve.
Lauren holds a B.A., magna cum laude, from New York University, where she was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa, and a J.D. from New York University School of Law, where she served as Senior Executive Editor of the NYU Law Review. Lauren is admitted to practice in New York and before the U.S. District Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Before founding Tuchman Gambier, Lauren practiced at Morrison & Foerster LLP and Quinn Emanuel Urquhart & Sullivan LLP and served as Assistant General Counsel at Wells Fargo.
